Orlando City really needed a win — it had for some time — and finally got one, scoring once in each half to defeat defending champion Toronto FC last night at Orlando City Stadium. It was nearly a complete performance and an encouraging sign for a club that’s only had its new head coach in place for two weeks.
Chris Schuler and Dom Dwyer provided the goals and Earl Edwards Jr. played well in goal in place of usual starter Joe Bendik. There were a few surprises in the 18 but with several fixtures coming up, James O’Connor’s decisions worked out well in helping the Lions snap a club record nine-game losing streak.
We hope you enjoy these photos from Orlando City’s first league win since early May.
