The off-season always seems long but this year the season crept up on me like a silent assassin, and all of a sudden it’s match week! Orlando City is set to face D.C. United this weekend and it’s an exciting time with basically a full new pride of Lions to cheer on in 2018. We started this show with a discussion of a departing Lion, however, as Jose Aja was dealt to Vancouver. We’ve also got some opinions on Orlando City’s new road kit that dropped this week.

But we’re here this week to kick off the season and, to help us do that, we enlisted national soccer reporter Paul Tenorio to discuss many topics, including Orlando City’s off-season moves, how Rafael Ramos is doing in Chicago, the Cyle Larin exit, how both conferences look entering the season and much more.

We also touched on the Pride preseason and how much we’re looking forward to learning more about the 2018 squad with three upcoming friendlies. And we answered listener questions in our #AskTMLPC mailbag. If there’s something you want us to address on our next show, just tweet it to us @TheManeLand with the hashtag #AskTMLPC.

Oh, and it’s game week, so we hit you with our key match-ups for Saturday and our soon-to-be laughably wrong score predictions.

Here’s how No. 114 played out:

0:12- Jose Aja’s off to the Great White North, the Lions have some clean white threads to wear on the road, and the Pride preseason is in full swing.

31:09- Paul Tenorio jumps on to discuss how folks are viewing Orlando’s off-season, his take on the Rafael Ramos-Cam Lindley deal, which teams and surprise players to watch for in 2018, Cyle’s departure, and other related topics.

48:58- We hit the #AskTMLPC mailbag and hand out our first key match-ups and score predictions of the 2018 MLS season.
