Orlando City B had lost two straight games and failed to score a single goal. Third-place Charleston Battery came into Orlando City Stadium on the back of two consecutive wins. Form didn’t seem to favor the young Lions.
But Anthony Pulis’ squad didn’t care about recent form. OCB got a highlight strike from Pierre Da Silva and a winner by Lewis Neal off a goalmouth scramble late to take all three points from the Battery and inch closer to a USL playoff spot. The young Lions have four more points in 29 games this season than they had in a full 30-game season last year. This year the season is 32 games and with just three games left, OCB still has work to do to lock up a postseason spot.
Last night’s win was a step in the right direction. We hope you enjoy the photos that capture the excitement of last night’s game.
