Orlando City vs. Toronto FC: Photo Gallery

An album of images from a tough 3-1 loss to the Reds at Orlando City Stadium.

The Lions went into the Gold Cup break on a bit of a downer after last night’s 3-1 loss to Toronto FC. Orlando City allowed an early goal, which gave the visitors the luxury of sitting back and playing organized defense, while forcing the Lions to have to chase the game for more than 70 minutes.

Defending is also a lot easier when you’ve got the threat of Jozy Altidore and Sebastian Giovinco up front to keep the other team honest.

Both teams came in on short rest from the road, and the first goal was of utmost importance, but the visitors got it and were able to parlay that tally into a win, withstanding a ton of Orlando possession and a virtual hailstorm of crosses into their penalty area.

While it wasn’t the result Orlando fans wanted, it’s important to remember how good Toronto FC is — potentially a future treble winner with the Supporters Shield and MLS Cup still possibilities after winning the Canadian Championship — and that the Lions simply aren’t at that level yet.

Still, even with the loss, there were a lot of memorable moments in the match. We hope we’ve represented those in this photo gallery. Enjoy the pictures!
