It's OK if you think you're seeing double. That's two wins in two tries for Orlando City, in two games in the club's new purple palace, with two goals from Cyle Larin in a 2-1 win over the Philadelphia Union. It's also two wins in a row over the visitors from Chester, PA. It was also two heart-stopping moments in stoppage time, as Ilsinho hit the post and Alejandro Bedoya's point-blank header that Joe Bendik kept out.
The Lions took care of business in an exciting match that sent the supporters home happy and made it worth the two-week wait since the season opener against NYCFC. Orlando controlled possession, scored multiple goals, and even slotted home in front of The Wall for the first time this season. It was a very satisfying way to enter the international break.
The images in this gallery hopefully capture the color, the passion, and the intensity of a hard-fought 90+ minutes between two teams that will battle for Eastern Conference playoff spots in 2017. Enjoy!
