The Lions played in their new home for the first time ever in last night's preseason friendly against USL side St. Louis FC. Kaká scored from a free kick and Cyle Larin added a brace to lead Orlando City to a 3-1 win in the club's new home to wrap up the 2017 preseason schedule.
Despite the win coming at the expense of a USL side, let's hope this is the first sign of the Lions turning the new downtown soccer-specific stadium into a fortress. The friendly was of the closed door variety, but Orlando City did all the things it should do to secure a victory and the Lions enter the regular season on a high note despite losing Tony Rocha to injury.
The images enclosed in this gallery should help tell the story of the match, and include our first shots of the Lions at their new grounds in game action. We hope you enjoy our photo album of the game.
