As nice as it was to get a win in Jason Kreis' debut as Orlando City's head coach, it was never going to be that easy every week. The Seattle Sounders may have been floundering all season but they are a team that is still loaded with talent and the addition of Nicolas Lodeiro may be the missing ingredient that puts them back on the path to success.
So the Lions fell 3-1 despite scoring first and out-shooting Seattle, 13-12. It didn't help that Kevin Molino, who has been the team's best player over the past month, was unavailable due to a hamstring tweak in training late this week. One bright spot was the play of newcomer Matias Perez Garcia in the second half, who got on the ball in the attacking third and was able to earn free kicks and pick out teammates in the offensive end. He should be fun to watch, moving forward.
