Another week, another stoppage time goal in a game involving an Orlando City team. By now, fans should definitely know better than to leave before the final whistle.
Playing one of its last three games at home, Orlando City B held the lead for most of the second half, before TFCII scored in the 90th minute, leveling the game at one. Of course, in true Orlando City fashion, the Lions retook the lead hardly 30 seconds later to pull out the exciting 2-1 victory in the midst of the USL playoff race.
OCB went up 1-0 in the 57th minute, thanks to captain Lewis Neal, who notched his first goal of the year off a ball from Michael Cox to the far post. The Lions looked to have all three points locked up, but TFCII's Mitchel Taintor connected on a diving header in stoppage time to level the game. Fortunately for OCB, Cox was able to put away his team-leading eighth goal not even 30 seconds later, to secure a win for the Lions.
Orlando will now travel up to New Jersey to take on one of the top teams in the East, New York Red Bulls II, on Friday. NYRBII feature former Lion Rafael Diaz.
