Orlando Pride vs. Washington Spirit: Photo Gallery

Images from Orlando's tough 2-1 loss to league-leading Washington at Camping World Stadium.

It's been a while since we've seen Alex Morgan and Ashlyn Harris in their Pride uniforms. Unfortunately, their return wasn't enough to help Orlando, as the NWSL-leading Washington Spirit came to Camping World Stadium and left with all three points, winning 2-1.

It was always going to be a tough, uphill battle to beat the league leaders, even at home, and being without Josee Belanger and Laura Alleway made it tougher. Steph Catley's season-ending injury didn't help. Still, the Pride fought hard to stay in the match after absorbing a lot of early pressure, but struggled to connect in the attacking third.

The Spirit found a lucky breakthrough when Cheyna Williams slipped while shooting and still got her shot on frame, putting a high shot past Harris in the first half. The Spirit doubled their lead early in the second half to make the task even tougher for the Pride. Sarah Hagen subbed on and found the net to throw Orlando a lifeline but it wasn't quite enough as Alex Morgan missed just wide in the 83rd and Jasmyne Spencer had a shot deflected at the last second that might have brought the Pride level.

Despite the loss and the team's fading playoff hopes, it was an exciting match. We've got all the images from the game and we hope you enjoy this collection.
