Orlando City traveled out to Brevard County, to the home of Orlando City B, to play a midseason friendly against English Premier League side and affiliate Stoke City, with the EPL side winning, 2-1.
The final score in this one didn't matter too much, as a sold out crowd of 3,472 came out to the Titan Soccer complex to watch the game. Almost all players within the Orlando City organization got playing time, including multiple OCB players, with midfielder Tony Rocha getting the start for the Lions.
After a scoreless first half, Stoke came out and scored only two minutes into the second half as Mame Diouf put one past Earl Edwards Jr. after having his initial effort blocked. The Lions pulled one back after Hadji Barry cut through the Potters defense and had his shot bounce off of keeper Jack Butland and into the net, but Stoke scored the eventual game winner after Bojan Krkic banged one in from outside the box.
Orlando will now go back to Camping World Stadium to take on the New England Revolution on Sunday night at 7:30.
