Orlando City vs. Portland Timbers: Photo Gallery

New, 1 comment

All of the excitement of the Lions' 4-1 win over the defending MLS champion Portland Timbers is captured in these images.

For the second consecutive year, Orlando City got its first home win of the season by soundly beating the defending Major League Soccer champs. Last year, it was the LA Galaxy on the wrong end of a 4-0 score line. Last night at a rocking Citrus Bowl, the Portland Timbers looked up to see a 4-1 deficit on the scoreboard when the final whistle blew.

Four different Lions found the net, including Brek Shea's first goal with Orlando City and Kevin Molino's first ever MLS goal. Seb Hines and captain Kaká also scored, with the Brazilian adding a pair of assists in a Man of the Match-type performance.

The Lions are atop the Eastern Conference after four games and with more performances like last night's, they could stay there for awhile.

Here are all the sights we captured at the Citrus Bowl last night. Enjoy!
