USA vs. Colombia International Friendly: How to Watch, Live Stream, TV Info, Preview and More

New, comments

For the second time in under a week, the USWNT squares off with Colombia in an international friendly.

Mark L. Baer-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome to your live thread for today's United States Women's Nation Team match against Colombia! This is the second match-up between these two teams in the past four days, with the U.S. steamrolling the South Americans 7-0 on Wednesday night.

Orlando Pride star Alex Morgan could get a start after sitting out the match last week with a minor injury. If Morgan is not able to go, the Colombians are all too familiar with the fact that the U.S. has other attacking options. Captain Carli Lloyd is on a tremendous goal scoring tear and bagged a goal on Wednesday night, so don't be surprised to see her add to her 2016 count.

Future UCLA Bruin Mallory Pugh and Allie Long scored three total goals last time out and the former could give the Colombians fits with her speed. Another player to look at Christen Press; the forward has been somewhat of a "super sub" in 2016 and it will be interesting to see if coach Jill Ellis decides to give the Stanford alumna a start this afternoon.

While Colombia clearly was not on the same level as the U.S. on Wednesday, fans of the Stars and Stripes can guarantee that the Colombians will be out to prove that the seven goal drubbing does not represent the talent level of this team. The Americans will be tested and this will be a good match to watch!

Match Thread Rules:

This is your live thread for posting comments on the match. So use our comments section below to talk about the game in real time with our supporters. If you are new, welcome to our happy home! While you are here, please observe a few basic rules:

  • Absolutely no illegal streams, they can get us in trouble and nobody wants that.
  • Try not to be "that guy" who does nothing but spit venom at the team. Being critical is fine -- every team can be frustrating to watch sometimes -- but constantly being too negative can diminish the fun for others.
  • Keep it clean and fair when criticizing officials. You never know who might be reading.
  • Treat others in the match thread as you would like to treated in the thread. We are a fun community and would like to keep it that way. There is a moderator, but we'd rather let him enjoy the game instead of having to play babysitter.
  • Lastly, while we do not have any rules against profanity, do not abuse this non-rule. Any language that is sexist, racist or homophobic will be swiftly deleted and you may lose posting privileges. We are all in this together.

Enjoy the game.  Go USA!
