Pride Pub: Orlando City at New York Red Bulls

Welcome back to Pride Pub, where we maximize your tailgating experience for Orlando City matches. This week, we're getting you ready for the match against the New York Red Bulls. Whether you're at a watch party or hosting at home, you'll be ready!

Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome back to the Pride Pub! Just a reminder on how this works: we choose a craft beer from the state/city/area of our opponent and include a yummy recipe to pair with that beer. Of course, we also choose a Florida craft beer to represent our Orlando City Lions and the beautiful Sunshine State.

This week we're heading to The Big Apple to take on the New York Red Bulls. So when you don't an energy drink while watching the match, but instead crave an excellent craft beer, who ya gonna call?

Ummmm...I'm not so sure that's right. That's okay, we've got you covered at the Pride Pub.

From New York: The Crisp, SixPoint Brewery

According to the Brewery:

"When the Mad Scientists emerged from underground, the quest for a new formulation went from obsession to reality. What do you get when you fuse old world craftsmanship with new, clean & bold flavors from right raw materials? The Crisp. It’s Mad Science."

That is not very descriptive, so check out more reviews from our friends over at Beer Advocate.

Pair with: Buffalo Chicken Wings and Loaded Potato Skins, of course!

Dave’s recommendations: For a slightly healthier alternative, go with Grilled Buffalo Chicken Strips with celery and carrot sticks. Your choice of ranch or bleu cheese dressing

From Florida: Hop Gun IPA, Funky Buddha Brewery

According to the Brewery:

"If you're looking for hops, we've got your tail. Hop Gun IPA delivers a payload of good ol' American hops straight to your palate, bursting forth with the flavors of grapefruit and pineapple. A careful dose of smooth caramel malts swoop in to balance out the finish -- just like any good wingman should."

Pair with: When the brewery gives a recommended pairing, you take them at their word. Enjoy some Moroccan-Spiced Lamb Chops and a side of Couscous flavored with Fresh Cilantro and Lemon juice.

Dave's recommendations: Hey, we're going different with this selection, so how about some Hummus with Pita Chips?

That's it from the Pub this week. As always, Go City, beat New York Red Bulls! See you next time!
