Kaká talks about aliens, CONCACAF Champions League changes coming, U-23 Men's roster, FIFA legal stuff, and more!

Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

Happy weekend Mane Landers! Kyle mentioned yesterday that this is the legendary event known as "the weekend." Well, it's also a match day, and we're here to get your day started right. So let's get to it!

Kaka on Being Born on this Planet...No, Really

What does Orlando City's Brazilian DP think about being among aliens? No, I'm not kidding, he speaks about being the last earthling to win the Ballon d'Or in 2007. Curious about the aliens? These otherworldly winners? Well, go read the link.

CONCACAF Champions League Changes

On Thursday, Gavin told you about a potential change to the CONCACAF Champions League schedule changes. Well, it turns out that more potential changes may be on the way. Nothing has been decided as of yet, but this could change quite a bit in regards to the format.

U-23 USMNT Names Qualifying Roster

Speaking of CONCACAF, here's a breakdown of the U-23 USMNT roster for the CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Championship matches, as named by Head Coach Andi Herzog. The U.S. is in Group A with Canada, Cuba, and Panama.

FIFPro v. FIFA: The Kerfuffle (is that how that's spelled?)

On to everyone's favorite...FIFA! This is a well written description of what the Player's Union FIFPro is taking to FIFA in regards to a legal complaint concerning transfer regulations. Why should you care? Well, we love the game, and transfer regulations (and how the players are treated) impacts the game. So, yes we should care.

Mexico's National Team Captain is Out!

It seems that an ankle injury will keep Mexico Captain, Andres Guardado, out of the match with the USMNT on Oct. 10, as well as many weeks after that. Well, we can't blame him for not wanting to be on the receiving end of what will hopefully be another dos a cero score line.

Weekend Watch List

I know you'll be watching our match, but there are other teams playing this weekend. As students of the beautiful game, we should still enjoy watching others as well. Check out this weekend preview from Fox Sports.

This is the End...

Ok, we didn't make the must-watch for this weekend, but we are included in the must-watch before decision day for the playoffs. There are other matches as well, but hey, lets be real, we only care about one.

Actually, This is the End

Really, truly this time, because you know that I'm always going to remind you to visit Pride Pub before watching the match today. As always, Go Lions! Beat Chicago!
